Appellation: Chianti DOCG Region: Tuscany Alcohol: 12.5% Grapes: 70% Sangiovese, 20% Ciliegiolo, 10% Canaiolo
Vinification and refinement The Burchino Estate is located in Terricciola, medieval village on the Pisan Hills. Hand-picked grapes are selected and sent directly in the stainless steel tanks in the gentlest possible way. The grapes ferment for 10/15 days in contact with the skins till the full extraction of aromas and quality tannins. We do not use any added yeast, the malolactic fermentation takes place in cement tanks were the wine is further assembled and remains for a minimum of 6 months before the bottling. Bottling: no fining, no filtration.
Wine description Colour: Ruby red wine with purple reflections. Bouquet: On the nose it has a surprising cleanness with strong notes of cherry and spices. Taste: Medium bodied wine, soft and pleasant on the palate showing nice freshness and a good balance of fruit, tannins and acidity. It has a long smooth finish.
